Fresh Sounds

We are thrilled to announce that we will be bringing you even more fresh new music to the station.

First up we will be showcasing music by HUSK.

"Dubbed as 'the outsider popstar we've all been waiting for' and 'pretty darn good' by BBC 6 Music, HUSK is the millennial lovechild of dark & moody 80’s-esque synth and sexy alt pop. Growing up, HUSK was a working class hairbrush diva, singing into the kitchen broom as he helped his Mum sweep up, with an arena crowd projected in his head. In recent years, though, he’s been described as ‘mysterious’ by friends and lovers, an endearing quality he’s assured.

As a Manchester native, HUSK is swaddled in the city’s famed post-punk and EDM musical heritage, but grew up on a melody centric diet of Pop, with strong a female presence; the likes Madonna, Blondie and Girls Aloud.

This has given HUSK an authentic, unrefined manner alongside well crafted & attractive Synthpop. Both are completely integrated. Now, with his alluring stage energy, he’s ready for a 2019 of loud amplification!"

Husk self-titled EP includes the tracks ‘Brother Kin’, ‘Every Bone’ and ‘You Got It’ - OUT NOW on Spotify & iTunes.
